Roasting instructions: Preparation: With tip of knife, cut 2 slits (shape of x) through the shell across round side of nut. Arrange in a single layer in a shallow pan with slit-side sown. Bake at 475 degrees F for 20-25 minutes- turning once halfway through baking time- or until outer shell and inner membrane (broken skin) peel easily. Serve: While chestnuts are warm, peel off outer shell and inner membrane (brown skin). Store unused shelled nuts in the refrigerator. For best quality, please refrigerate.
